Pregnancy with donor sperm can be achieved through artificial insemination (Intracervical o Intrauterine) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) with own or donor eggs.

Donor sperm is provided by CRYOBANK.

Our sperm donors are between 18 and 38 years old and have proven fertility. They do not have a personal or family history for hereditary conditions, undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation (both physical and psychological) and are subjected to a number of tests in order to comply with regulations and suggestions of both local and international scientific societies.

Routine laboratory work:
Complete CBC (including MCV)
Fasting blood sugar
Kidney and liver function tests
Blood type and Rh factor
Hemoglobin electrophoresis

Infectious disease panel:
HIV, HTLV I and II, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C, CMV
Chlamydia and Neisseria Gonorrhoeae culture in sperm

Genetic tests:
Karyotype
Spinal muscle atrophy
Cystic fibrosis (several mutations)
Carrier screening*
