IVF w/own OOCYTES and PARTNER’s SPERM or DONOR SPERM

To initiate a cycle of IVF, certain screening tests need to be performed on the patient and her partner, if appropriate.

Patient
Hormonal profile (FSH, LH, E2, PRL, TSH) between day 2 and day 4 of menstrual cycle
HIV, Hepatitis B and C, RPR (syphilis)
Blood type and Rh factor
Rubella serology (IgG)
CBC, liver function tests, blood glucose
Cervical culture (Chlamydia and Neisseria Gonorrhoeae)
Pap smear

Hysterosalpingogram
Transvaginal ultrasound between day 2 and day 4 of menstrual cycle
Breast ultrasound or mammogram
EKG (electrocardiogram)

Partner (if appropriate) 
Semen analysis
HIV, hepatitis B and C, RPR (syphilis)
Blood type and Rh factor
Karyotype
Cystic fibrosis mutations
